We are a “green” LEED (Leadership in energy and environmental design) facility.  Certified as “gold” status by the U.S. Green Building Council, we are very excited to be the first nonprofit community based organization in New York State to have achieved this level of certification.  We hope to inspire other nonprofit organization and businesses to continue to engage in sustainable development and support green initiatives.

As a nonprofit institution Círculo de la Hispanidad operates over twenty different programs and services to support community needs.  In existence since 1980, the organization has served tens of thousand of individuals out of offices in Long Beach and Hempstead. 

In 2010, Círculo de la Hispanidad inaugurated Círculo Center.  This LEED facility consists of 35,000 square feet.  It includes classrooms for educational programming, a large multipurpose room of 10,000 square feet and a commercial kitchen to serve programmatic needs.
